About

Maria Tureaud

AUTHOR - EDITOR

Maria Tureaud hails from the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland. A Developmental Editor of fourteen years, Maria serves on the Revise and Resub Board (#RevPit on Twitter), an organization dedicated to uplifting the writing community. When she’s not writing books or sprinkling magic into client manuscripts, you can find her drinking tea in New Jersey with her husband and son as she dreams of moving home to her beloved County Clare.

On the Editorial side, Maria specializes in characterization, internal/external conflict, deep POV, show versus tell, and voice, and she loves to help writers balance craft with creativity in order to produce the best possible product.

Maria also works as a copyeditor for major New York City publishing house, Macmillan, and is a proud member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA). Maria edits most genres of fiction across multiple age categories but is especially passionate about romance, historical fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and underrepresented cultures/mythologies.  But anything with a high concept that showcases strong, grounded characters will capture her heart.

On the author side, she is represented by Amy Giuffrida of The Belcastro Agency. For any rights-related enquiries, please contact Amy at amy@belcastroagency.com
