A lifetime reader, and passionate writer, I have accrued over fourteen years experience as a freelance editor. I love to get my hands on stories that need that next-level push to make them shine, and focus on coaching writers so they might apply our time together to not only their current work, but future projects.
On the Content and Developmental side, I specialize in characterization, internal/external conflict, Deep POV, Show versus Tell, and Voice, and love to help writers balance craft with creativity in order to produce the best possible product.
On the writer side, I am represented by Amy Giuffrida of the Jennifer De Chiara Literary Agency, and specialize in submission packages for querying authors pursuing Traditional Publishing. My debut, The Last Hope In Hopetown, releases Fall of 2022 from Little, Brown Books For Young Readers/Hachette.
In 2019 I became an editor for the Twitter pitch event, Revise & Resub (#RevPit), and proudly accepted an appointment to the Revise & Resub Board of Directors in August of 2020. I am also proud member of the EFA (Editorial Freelancers Association).
I edit most genres of fiction across multiple age categories, but I’m especially passionate about historical fiction, fantasy, horror, and underrepresented cultures/mythologies. On saying that, anything with a high concept that showcases strong, grounded characters will capture my heart.
